Harbor Pointe Yacht Club on Lake Lanier Located in Gainesville, Georgia -You won’t find a community anywhere in the country that offers the amazing mountain views, private marina and access to cruising, sailing, kayaking and swimming available at Harbour Point Yacht Club. Lake Lanier is truly one of the most beautiful lakes in the country, and with our 3.5 miles of protected shoreline you can enjoy this beautiful resort-style setting year round. Our lakeside Yacht Club offers over 8,000 square feet of beautifully decorated space for our neighborhood events and private parties. The private Marina is in deep water and protected by The Peninsula section of the development.  There is ample parking for cars and golf carts, and the paved trails provide golf cart access all the way to the docks. The Marina offers private slips as well as day use courtesy moorings.  Harbour Point’s wet slips are among the best on Lake Lanier with full covered slips equipped with fresh water, electrical hook-ups and dock boxes at each slip. Cascading pools overlook Lake Lanier and offer spectacular views of the Appalachian Mountains. The upper sitting pool is a relaxing place to entertain friends and enjoy cool refreshments. Below our waterfall is the lower, larger sports pool for exercise and leisure activities. Life at Harbour Point is like a full time vacation.

 

The community of Gainesville has so much to offer when it comes to shopping, from grocery stores to specialty shops and everything in between. The downtown square is home to a number of boutiques and second generation specialty stores, several restaurants and an entertaining and vibrant downtown nightlife. There are over 50 businesses downtown alone, move out a block in either direction and you will find hundreds. In addition to the downtown shopping there are malls, restaurants, coffee shops and outlets in close vicinity.

Theatre doors, in the community, open into new worlds, new people & new ideas.  Gainesville Theatre Alliance is a collaborative ensemble of students, community members and professionals that perform for audiences throughout the year. Locally, Brenau University Gallery features works by national and international artists, local and regional artists, as well as by Brenau University students, faculty and alumni. Entertainment in Gainesville is plentiful and varied with wide appeal.
